I was finally able to acquire the twitter username macappdeals. Now I can start tweeting deals that I post about here. Let’s see how many followers we can get! Spread the word! 😀
Thanks to everyone who participated in the banner ad contest to win a copy of Pixelmator. Everyone who participated was rewarded with some app just for participating. They got to pick from a list of apps I had to giveaway. I thought there would have been more entries, given the amount of responses to the sneak peek post. So if you didn’t participate, you missed out 😉
The winner was _dave_ with these 2 different ad styles:
In a great turn of events, the Pixelmator team decided to reward another entry with a free copy of Pixelmator. Luke got the 2nd copy with this entry:
I have spent a lot of time today modifying a plugin to add an “I Bought This” button to the bottom of every post. I think I finally have it in working order, and now I need your help. I am asking anyone who has ever purchased (or got for free) any app as a result of reading about it’s discount on this site to go find that post(s) and click on “I Bought This.” Remember to only click it if you purchased it as a result of Mac App Deals. I really need everyone to do this, it will only take you 30 seconds. Thank you very much. You can click the “I Bought This” button on this post when you are done.
NOTE: Clicking on it through the RSS feed does not work.

Welcome to the new home for Mac App Deals! Â I hope you enjoy the new look and new features. Â Feel free to let me know what you think by commenting to this post. Â I put much more time into it than I planned, but I’m happy with how it looks. Â I even went back through all the old posts and made them look better. Â Now you can tweet posts with app discounts that you want to share with others and it will automatically convert the url into a tinyurl. Â There are still a few bugs I’m trying to work out, but only one worth mentioning right now. Â Doing a search while viewing a single post page only shows results from that post rather than the whole site. Â There is now a contact page so that you can let me know of any app discounts that I may not know about.
And now for the winner of TimeBoxed.  Thanks to everyone who entered (24 total). Congratulations WalrusCP!  If you will send me a message through the contact page with the name and email you want the program registered to, I will get that to the developer and get you your license.  If you don’t want it, then let me know and I will draw another name.
I will be doing more drawings for apps in the future. Â The more people that join, the more I will be giving away, so spread the word about Mac App Deals! 😀

Thanks for visiting my new site, where I will post deals on Mac applications as I come across them. Â I have been using Apple my entire life, and I have recently become addicted to finding and using many different applications that have enhanced my experience on my computer. Â I have found that there are enough programs out there and enough discounts to be found around the web to start a site to put them all in one place. Â I will be keeping this updated as the promotions come up. Â I will also have a form you can fill out to submit promotions you may know about so that I can get them up here. Also, feel free to post links to any reviews for the apps in the comments, or anything else that will help others regarding each application and discount. Â I will also be giving away free apps from time to time to followers.
